It looks like Apple is Pumping Up The Volume on its IPhone just in time - step aside "Golden Arches", this generation is hungry for Apps. Lots of them. In fact, the ~30,000 applications available from the App Store are getting them to the 1 Billion download mark faster than anyone ever thought. In fact, it looks like we might be getting a 32GB IPhone hitting the streets in June. Apple also isn't going to let this event go by without squeezing every last drop of PR "Buzz" possible, what with the Palm Pre nipping at its heels. Get this - the lucky 1 billionth "downloader" will get a MacBook Pro, a 32GB iPod Touch, and a $10,000 iTunes gift certificate. Not too shabby...Advantage: Apple on this one!
