And, the new Microsoft Canada channel chief is…

Greg Larnder is the new channel chief for Microsoft Canada. CDN congratulates Greg on his new position.
Larnder was vice president of sales of the central Canada region for Compugen and according to several sources from the channel community Larnder was the only choice for Neil Tanner, vice-president of small business, midmarket solutions and partners for Microsoft Canada. Tanner did interview three other top-flight executives but was always leaning towards choosing Larnder. The speculation was that Tanner would just pluck someone from the U.S. and to his credit he avoided that and brought in someone the channel community knows and respects.
At Compugen, Larnder managed the sales and P&L for Compugen's Ontario business, representing 50 per cent of the company’s revenues. He also managed sales strategy for key National Accounts and strategic opportunities with key vendor partners.

But the 10 year veteran of Compugen did not run the Large Account Reseller (LAR) business for Compugen. Michael Charter ran that business. As most people know the LAR business is a top priority for the channel chief at Microsoft Canada along with the SI and VAR business.
CDN wishes Larnder good luck.
