A 10-day patch: I triple-dare you

firefox-120.jpgAlthough officials were quick to dismiss the idea, I loved the image of Mozilla executives discussing their strategy to patch Firefox flaws during a late-night pajama party. Until I actually pictured Mozilla executives in pajamas.

What the whole thing makes you realize, of course, is that there isn’t really the equivalent of a money-back guarantee in terms of security. Personally, I don’t think 10 days is too short a timeframe for an organization that wants its browser to be taken seriously against Internet Explorer. Especially if we were talking about a flaw that someone was actually exploiting.
