Xerox printer promises productive monochrome output

Toronto-based Xerox Canada teamed with Rochester, New York-based Xerox Corp. to launch what it’s claiming is its “fastest yet continuous feed printing system.”

The Xerox 650/1300 Continuous Feed Printing System is aimed at service bureaus, data centres and commercial print providers to help them more easily produce books, manuals and trans-promotional applications.

The product, announced Thursday, can print up to 1,308 duplex 8.5 by 11 inch pages per minute. The system uses dry toner, zerographic imaging and flash-fusing technology, a process that’s not reliant on heat, pressure or contact with the paper.
