Wal-Mart Web win for Q9

Wal-Mart Canada has turned to Q9 Networks of Toronto to host its Web site. Q9 will supply a fully managed hosting solution including servers, firewalls, tape backup and managed bandwidth, according to Q9. Wal-Mart Canada’s Web site displays descriptions and pricing for about 5,000 items, and receives as many as four million visitors per month during peak periods, according to the company. The site does not process online orders for delivery, but creates printable shopping lists for users to take to a retail outlet.
