Tripp Lite wins Kenyan award

Tripp Lite has been voted the UPS Company of the Year at the Kenya Computing and Communications Awards 2001. The awards are the result of a rigorous poll conducted among the leading solutions providers in Kenya, and Tripp Lite garnered a total of 78.5 per cent of the votes. Electric Link, Tripp Lite’s local distributor, received the award.

Joe Kamau, Tripp Lite’s Territory Manager for Eastern and Western Africa, said: “We are proud to say that we can now claim at least 25 per cent market share. We have also worked very closely with the Computer Society of Kenya to have Tripp Lite considered by the corporate world as a preferred UPS product.”

According to the Computer Society of Kenya, the criteria set forth by the judges has included quality of service, excellence, contribution towards universal access of IT, and evidence of innovative thinking.
