Toshiba Pocket PC E570

PC World.com

WHAT’S HOT: This sleek, lightweight Pocket PC 2002-based PDA boasts built-in Secure Digital and CompactFlash slots for additional memory, modems, and more. The attractive, high-resolution colour screen is front-lit, so it remains readable outdoors.

WHAT’S NOT: You get no hardware cover to protect the display. The front-lit screen can look a bit faded indoors.

WHAT ELSE: The Pocket PC 2002 OS includes stripped-down versions of Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, and Microsoft Corp. Reader for e-books. You also get a voice recorder.

UPSHOT: Like other Pocket PCs, the E570 targets the upscale corporate user who’s willing to pay top dollar for a robust productivity tool. This model is particularly well suited for those who value a small form factor and the built-in dual expansion slots – and who aren’t too concerned about the lack of a protective cover.
