Toronto-based Xenos Group Inc. last month announced the launch of version 5.0 of its d2e (data to e-content) Platform. The software enables enterprises in vertical markets such as banking, insurance, brokergage and telecommunications to transform bills, invoices and statements into Web-ready content, according to the company. The platform allows for changes from legacy data and documents in formats including IBM AFP, HP PCL, Xerox Metacode and database data into formats such as HTML, XML and PDF. The new out-of-the-box offering includes an XML generator, Java API, data parser and HTML/CSS generator. Also included is a platform-independent, Java-based GUI for monitoring and controlling the transformation process, called the d2e Controller. WorldStreet Corp. in Boston has introduced an updated version of its peer-to-peer (P2P) networking platform, which now includes instant messaging capabilities geared towards the financial services market. WorldStreet Net 3.0’s Messenger allows users to send messages from within existing applications and workflow systems, according to the company, and messages can be sent through several VPNs or over the Internet. The messaging features also contain compliance control points, enforceable authentication, back-end logging and text saving features. The new version of the product also includes a Dynamic Viewer, which allows companies to collect and use information that is scattered in pockets throughout the enterprise to deliver it in a branded manner to external business partners or colleagues.
