Symantec mouthpiece issues pro-IT compliance report

The Symantec-sponsored IT Policy Compliance Group announced today the availability of “IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance—Improving Business Results and Mitigating Financial Risk,” its 2008 annual research report.

The report includes responses culled from over 2,600 global organizations. The results show that businesses with mature IT governance, risk, and compliance practices have 17 per cent higher revenues, 14 per cent higher profits, and 18 per cent higher customer satisfaction rates.

They are also fifty times less likely to have customer data stolen or lost, said the report.
