Showcase Scrapbook 2006

This year’s hugely successful Showcase Ontario went out with a bang.

Showcase Ontario is the largest public sector information technology education event in Canada. It is also the largest education conference for the Government of Canada and for 2006, Federal, Provincial, Municipal, Utility, Health and Education decision-making VIPs joined the Government of Ontario in attending the exhibition, workshops and awards gala in Toronto from September 25 to 27, 2006. Showcase Ontario draws participants from across the country, and in fact, from across the globe to learn how to serve citizens better through the use of information technology. Attendance is FREE for all members of government and non-governmental organizations.

Each year delegates come together to exchange ideas and network with their counterparts from other levels of government and jurisdictions. Exhibitors have included: Adobe, IBM, Cisco, Telus, HP, Microsoft, Bell, CA, Symantec, Sun, Panasonic, Xerox, Polar Bear, Information Builders, Hummingbird, SoftwareAG and many others.

There’s a reason why the IT industry’s key players and key government decision-makers support Showcase Ontario in growing numbers year after year: Showcase Ontario is the Government’s OWN event and delivers a more targeted, focused and more motivated community of government VIPs and decision-makers than any other event in Canada. This year’s theme of Showcase Ontario was “Government of the Future” and featured IT solutions that will help deliver services and value to citizens. Attendees had access to exhibits that featured live demos of exemplary government initiatives, government solutions of the future and discussions of actual case studies.

Year after year, Showcase Ontario succeeds in attracting thousands of the brightest public sector professionals, creating an electric environment on the show floor and throughout the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Showcase Ontario packs the theatres with engaging and entertaining keynote speakers, offers plenty of learning opportunities and continually surpasses attendance records.

Don’t miss next year’s Showcase Ontario!
