SAPPHIRE : SAP reaches landmark portal deal with Siemens

SAP AG has won a landmark portal deal with Siemens AG, the German software company announced Wednesday at its Sapphire customer conference and trade show in Lisbon, Portugal.

Siemens will provide mySAP Enterprise Portal (mySAP EP), a software product based on open standards that allows numerous third-party applications to be integrated, to all employees worldwide, as well as global partners, customers and suppliers. For SAP, this is the largest number of users ever licensed in a single deal, the company said in a statement.
