SAP and RIM team up on taking SAP CRM mobile

SAP and Research in Motion announced today the availability of SAP enterprise applications on Research in Motion’s mobile BlackBerry platform.

The first offering will be SAP’s Customer Relationship Management application melded with the BlackBerry e-mail, address-book, and calendar applications. The target market is salespeople.

The BlackBerry Enterprise Server’s push-based architecture will automate data synchronization between the two entities, and will allow IT managers to centrally manage and wirelessly deploy the application to the devices.

The solution will be previewed at SAP’s Sapphire 2008 conference next week.
