OpenMarket announces update at CITA Wireless

OpenMarket Inc. has announced updates to its mobile financial processing service aimed at improving transactions success rates and revenue for the mobile industry.

The Seattle-based mobile services company announced the enhancements to its mobile commerce services at this week’s CITA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas. OpenMarket’s new capabilities work to improve payment processing for premium content and programs such as ringtones, games and other mobile media. According to the company, the North American mobile industry will likely surpass $4 billion in mobile content spending by 2010.

OpenMarket also announced expanded partnerships with several mobile service providers, allowing its services to reach an estimated 98 per cent of U.S. mobile subscribers.
