Newlix VPN software

Newlix Corp. a start-up, Linux-based server software developer, plans to deliver VPN functionality for its Linux server software, Newlix Omega Server. The software is supposed to allow re-sellers and hardware providers the opportunity to offer Linux-based networking solutions for small- to medium-sized businesses. Newlix said its product is the industry’s first Linux server software to offer VPN functionality, which according to the firm will provide users with secure remote access, along with site-to-site networking anywhere in the world. Through Microsoft’s PPTP protocol, VPN for Newlix Omega provides access for Windows clients and is designed for small businesses with remote workers.
