MiniBOD offers storage for post-production users

Advanced Industrial Computer (AIC) next week will launch the MiniBOD, a storage solution available for post-production, video/graphic editing, mission-critical content development and management applications.

The MiniBOD allows users to save and access mission-critical files to eight (8x) Small Form Factor (SFF) 2.5-inch SAS/SATA drives. It reads and writes at up to 2.4 Gbps bandwidth, supporting up to 1.2TB of storage. In addition, the MiniBOD offers the ability to connect to host servers of the same RAID configuration through the SFF8088 connector. Future enhancements to the MiniBOD will be available later this year, including embedded RAID functionality on the backplane and four conventional 3.5-inch hard drive configurations.

The MiniBOD – XJ-SA01-08-A1 will be available in June, AIC said.
