Mall shoppers get interactive assistance from 3D agent

A shopping mall in British Columbia is the latest locale to feature a virtual customer care system to by Burnaby, B.C.-based e-business application vendor CSM Systems Corp.

The technology, ViCCi, makes use of touchscreens and an interactive 3D customer service agent to help shoppers locate stores, brands, products and services.

The shopping mall, Woodgrove Centre, is the sixth locale to deploy the Web-style technology, which CSM Systems anticipates will make a presence this year in the retail sector.
