Lucent launches new services

Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS), the network services division of Murray Hill, N.J.-based Lucent Technologies Inc., announced in early June two new network services platforms.

According to the company, the two new platforms – Professional Services and Managed Services – that were unveiled at SuperComm 2003 in Atlanta are focused on making networks more reliable and secure.

Included in the Professional Services and Managed Services platforms are: Revenue Recovery, a service that would enable service providers to find, eliminate and recover potential revenue loss; Network Optimization, a service designed to aid service providers in assessing network performance by finding hot spots and bottlenecks; Inventory Management, a service that would help service providers to utilize existing hardware and software assets; and lastly, Network Security, a service that would help service providers protect the company’s network infrastructure and intellectual property.
