LAN telephony up, NICs down: 3Com chief

3Com Corp. CEO Bruce Claflin was in a good mood when he came to the Network World (U.S.) offices recently to discuss the state of his company and the industry with Senior Editor Phil Hochmuth and Editor in Chief John Dix. With his embattled firm’s losses down by almost US$500 million from a year ago, and its enterprise business group profitable again, Claflin said he sees good things to come for 3Com and the network business.
