IT strategy is People First

The Minister for Commerce for the Australian state of New SouthWales (NSW), John Della Bosca, will launch the state government’sinformation and communication technology (ICT) strategic plan inSydney this week.

The ICT strategy, dubbed “People First”, is expected to set theframework for a coordinated government-wide approach to ICTplanning, expenditure, and allocation of resources for the nextfour years and beyond, according to the Department of Commence.

A media briefing will be held on Thursday, July 27 and includean information session presented by the NSW government CIO PaulEdgecumbe.

Edgecumbe will discuss the key priorities, strategies andobjectives of the plan, particularly customer and front lineservice delivery improvements.
