Going mobile

It’s been put down as hype with cries of ‘show me the killer application’, but mobile access to the Internet is already much more than the love affair that consumers have with personal digital assistants (PDAs) and cell phones. In every industrial sector there are examples of mobile work forces meeting real-time communication needs to improve service delivery and, ultimately, customer relations. Here in Canada, many businesses have for some time been looking at wireless communication to determine how it can make them more productive, more competitive and more cost effective.
