Contec showcases mobile solution

Vancouver-based Contec Innovations announced Thursday that it will showcase its new Hornet carrier-class mobile application server through Hewlett-Packard Canada Ltd.’s HP Mobile e-services Bazaar.

The HP Bazaar – executive briefing and visitor centres – are located in international technology epicentres with satellite offices in Europe, Asia, and North America (Silicon Valley and Toronto). The Bazaar is the hub of a rapidly growing global community of mobile application developers, the company said.

Contec said Hornet is targeted to mobile operators and application developers looking to create new mobile data services.

The company said the HP Bazaar “living labs” concept provides an open forum for operators, service providers and enterprises who shop for mobile solutions to collaborate with members to create specific solutions to offer their customers.

“The Bazaar presents us with an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the features and benefits of Hornet to prospective customers and partners,” said Perry Quan, president and CEO of Contec in a prepared statement.

The Hornet server is capable of hosting almost any application in a secure, scalable environment, the company said.
