Call interruption starts in (416) area

Starting today local calls in Toronto made using seven digits only may be interrupted by a recorded announcement reminding callers to add the (416) area code next time.

Bell Canada said calls will still be connected, but the recorded announcement will disrupt local data calls (fax, modem, Internet dial-up, security systems, etc.) dialed using the seven digits only.
