An enhanced reciprocal agreement signed by the wireless units of Bell Canada, Aliant and Telus, will expand access to advanced digital voice and data services across Canada and bring competition to rural areas.

This agreement extends current roaming and resale agreements and will enhance the reach of Bell Mobility’s digital PCS service across rural Alberta and B.C. by providing seamless access to the Telus Mobility network in the two provinces. Similarly, Telus Mobility customers gain seamless access to the Bell Mobility digital PCS network in Ontario and Quebec, extending Telus Mobility’s rural coverage in Ontario and Quebec. As a result of this agreement, Bell Mobility and TELUS Mobility will each be able to avoid capital expenditures of more than $500 million (over the term of the 10-year agreement).

SAP to establish Global Professional Services Organization

SAP AG has announced it will establish a Global Professional Services Organization (Global PSO) within SAP AG. The new business unit will work closely with the global consulting partners of SAP and focus on high-profile SAP customers that require consulting services for global e-business solution projects, independent of geography and across industries.

While the existing SAP field organization will remain SAP’s primary channel to its customers, the Global PSO will provide consulting services along the entire life cycle of mySAP.com e-business solutions, through a single channel and using common methodologies and processes. SAP’s local PSOs will continue to serve their customers in regional projects.
