Ottawa-based Watchfire, a Web site management software and services company, has partnered with San Francisco-based Coremetrics, a business intelligence solutions provider, to market and sell their complementary products and services. Together, the companies intend to offer customers the ability to optimize their Web sites, thereby improving visitor success and to increase the Web site’s RoI. According to the companies, they offer analytical solutions for measuring the impact of Web site integrity on a company’s business, both in the aggregate and across customer segments. NetIQ Corp. in San Diego has announced several new voice-over-IP (VoIP) management products, to help administrators overcome what the company calls the two biggest obstacles to VoIP deployment – concern over quality, and the ability to match the reliability of the regular public switched telephone network. The company’s new products include: VoIP Manager Suite; VoIP Manager for Call Performance; VoIP Manager for Cisco CallManager; VoIP Manager for Compaq Insight Manager; and Chariot VoIP Assessor. VoIP Manager is priced starting at US$10,000 for a typical pilot VoIP deployment. Last month, FalconStor Software Inc. announced an agreement with RARE Systems Inc. to integrate its IPStor with RARE Systems DSM 6000 data storage module technology. The resulting solution, called StArNet 6000, will help to manage storage costs by consolidating and virtualizing storage equipment, according to the companies. Along with providing storage to workgroups and application servers in the NAS or SAN form, StArNet 6000 is also able to deliver enterprise-class storage services such as data mirroring and off-site replication.
