Best Buy to offer customers online data management service

Burnaby, B.C.-based Best Buy Canada Ltd. announced today it will join Data Deposit Box’s Powered By partnership program so that customers can access the online data storage and sharing service.

The program means Best Buy’s Geek Squad agents will offer the service – data backup, restore and sharing – to Data Deposit Box customers they assist with in-home or in-office service calls. For $2 per gigabyte per month, Data Deposit Box will store customer data in a carrier-grade secure data facility, the company said.

Data Deposit Box is owned and operated by Toronto-based Acpana Business Systems Inc.
