Adobe offers RIA open source code

Rich internet application (RIA) developers now have access to Adobe Systems Inc.’s source code for its remoting and messaging technologies.

Available under a new open source product called BlazeDS, the code will allow developers to easily connect to back-end distributed data, push data in real-time to Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR apps, and ultimately reap more responsive RIA app experiences.

The source code previously only available as part of Adobe LifeCycle Data Services ES, is contributed under the Lesser General Public License (LGPL v3).

The technologies are available as public betas on Adobe Labs.
